For the third year in a row, The Hollywood Reporter released its list of the 35 Most Powerful People in Media.

The list encompasses "a mix of the A-list movers and shakers who control what we consume — an influence that extends to entertainment and much, much more."

Giving his own personal take on the horrible tragedy in Newtown, Connecticut last Friday (December 14), David Letterman shared a seven-minute impromptu monologue on “The Late Show” last night (December 17).

The talk show host began, "It makes me so sad. [These Christmas decorations are] really for kids. You think about this horrifying circumstance. What part of that do you think about that's going to make any difference? Do you think about the kids in the class? That's too awful to think about."

Each year, the Kennedy Center Honors highlight some of the most accomplished folks in the world, and this year it will be quite the show.

According to a report, the 35th annual gala will be held on December 2nd, and the honorees will include David Letterman, Led Zeppelin, Dustin Hoffman, Buddy Guy, and Natalia Makarova.
