David Beckham Supports Soccer in China
Bringing some starpower to inspire young athletes in China, David Beckham visited the Wuhan Zall Football Club at Wuhan Hubei Province on Saturday (March 23).
The dashing British midfielder kicked the ball in his formal attire, continuing his five-day tour as the first international ambassador for the China Football Association.
Speaking about the endeavor, the 37-year-old hunk told The Guardian, "I've always been a fan of Chinese football because I think the players are very talented and I think they're very passionate. I think when you see the excitement throughout this country when the team has done well in a big competition, you see how important it is to people."
Eager to get things underway, David added, "I'm very proud to be part of this organization, very proud to be part of being an ambassador of the league, and I'm excited to make a difference."
