"Dancing with the Stars" Debuts New Season

Fans filled the ballroom as "Dancing with the Stars" kicked off a new season on Monday night (March 17), and the competition is already heating up.

Taking the lead for the first show was Olympic medalist Charlie White and his partner Sharna Burgess, who wowed the judges with their contemporary routine.

Whetting fans' appetites for the premiere next Monday, ABC released official cast portraits for season 18 of "Dancing with the Stars" on Monday (March 10).

This time, twelve celebs will compete for the mirror ball trophy, including Sean Avery, Candace Cameron Bure, Drew Carey, Meryl Davis, NeNe Leakes, James Maslow, Danica McKellar, Diana Nyad, Amy Purdy, Cody Simpson, Charlie White, and Billy Dee Williams.

NeNe Leakes Plans to Crush the Competition on "DWTS"

Revealing her strategy to take on the competition for "Dancing with the Stars," NeNe Leakes appeared on Wednesday's (March 6) episode of "Jimmy Kimmel Live" to gauge her fellow contestants.

When asked if she had had any prior dance experience, the 46-year-old reality starlet said, "In my twenties I was an exotic dancer…I'm going to bring it. I plan to win a lot of the men votes!"

Brooke Burke-Charvet Fired from "Dancing with the Stars"

The victim of yet another crippling downsize, Brooke Burke will not return to "Dancing with the Stars," for the upcoming 18th season next month.

Releasing a statement regarding the news, the former show winner, and co-host alongside Tom Bergeron since 2010, said, "I have enjoyed seven seasons co-hosting ‘DWTS’ but understand the need for change considering the position of the show at this juncture."
