Crystal Bowersox's Pre-Idol Finale Breakup

She sure has had a crazy past couple of weeks, and in the midst of all the “American Idol” hoopla, Crystal Bowersox faced a break-up with her hometown boyfriend.

Opening up to Ryan Seacrest on his KIIS-FM radio show, the “Idol” runner-up revealed, “[My boyfriend] Tony, he went home. He wasn’t cool with the lifestyle.”

“We’re both logical, grown adults,” Bowersox said of Tony, 26. “He’s a small town guy and it’s fine. But I’m a small town girl but I want this. I want this more than anything — this career, this lifestyle. I didn’t think he was up for it. He didn’t think he was up for it.”

Luckily, the decision to break up just hours before the final performance night, was completely mutual.
