Clint Eastwood is the "Mystery Speaker" at RNC in Tampa
Lending his star power to the political arena, Clint Eastwood appeared at the Republican National Convention yesterday (August 30), accepting the opportunity to address convention goers.
The 82 year-old actor and director took to the stage, having an imaginary conversation with President Barack Obama, saying, "So, Mr. President, how do you handle promises that you made … I'm not going to shut up, it's my turn," said the Oscar winner. "What do you want me to tell Romney? I can't tell him to do that. He can't do that to himself. You're getting as bad as Biden!"
Convention attendees loved Eastwood's speech, especially the prop of the empty chair, which was meant to depict the current president's unfilled promises.
President Obama's staff took to Twitter, after the director of "Million Dollar Baby" gave his speech, writing, "This seat's taken."
