Taurus Stunt Awards: Simply Fantastic!
Another day, another celebrity awards night. The stars were out at this year's Taurus World Stunt Awards on the Paramount Pictures lot last night (May 20). Not the most glamorous of professions - this night was all about the stuntmen... sort of.
Celebrities and VIP's in attendance - many making appearances on stage - included Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jessica Alba, Michael Chiklis, Elisha Cuthbert, Kelly Hu, Ali Larter, Christina Milian, Shaun White - among many more.
According to PR Newswire, "The show kicked off with a bang when the Rock made his first appearance onstage in an armored car, crashing into the set. Over the course of the evening, the audience was likewise treated to a series of live performances, giving a rapturous reception to Grammy-winner Joe Cocker, who rocked the house with 'Feeling Alright,' and acclaimed modern dance company Diavolo, who executed an elaborate acrobatic routine over, under, in and out of a moving car."
While the primary aim of the event was to honor the "elite professionals of the stunt community," the cameras and attention seemed to focus on the likes of Jessica, Elisha, and Arnold... but that's to be expected. Nonetheless, it's pleasant to see such big names turn up in support of the on-set daredevils.
The show is set to be broadcast on AMC on Friday, May 25th at 10:30 p.m.
