Looking to add a little excitement to their humpday routine, Chris Hemsworth and Elsa Pataky showed up in Santa Monica on Wednesday afternoon (January 8).

Joined by their daughter India Rose, the “Thor” hunk and his pregnant “Fast & Furious 6” wife treated themselves to a delicious lunch at True Food Kitchen.

From there, Chris hauled the whole crew to Venice Beach to check out the wares at a local surf shop.

Of his latest gig, Ron Howard’s “In The Heart Of The Sea,” Hemsworth told Jimmy Kimmel, “[Heart Of The Sea] is the true events that inspired Herman Melville to write Moby Dick. A bunch of sailors in a whaling ship get struck by a whale, the ship sinks and they jump onto the small rafts and drift for 90 days. Basically they begin to die and eat each other... a romantic comedy… We have to get rather skinny. So we're on 500 or 600 calories a day.”
