Ready for an elegant evening celebrating film, stars arrived at the 40th Anniversary Chaplin Award Gala in New York City on Monday (April 22).

The evening’s guest of honor, Barbra Streisand, graced the arrivals carpet at the Avery Fisher Hall at Lincoln Center in a floor-length black gown, accompanied by husband James Brolin.

The former Beatle joined the project started by Tony Bennet, his son Danny, and the Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence. When used, the text-to-call program connects callers to their congressional representative after hearing a special message from Mr. McCartney.
