Bette Midler: I'm Back, Broadway!
More than 30 years after she last stood in the spotlights on Broadway, Bette Midler is returning to the stage to star in the drama "I'll Eat You Last: A Chat with Sue Mengers."
The one-woman show by John Logan follows the career of Hollywood agent Sue Mengers. She was known for her wild antics and impressive array of A-list clients in the '70s, which included Barbara Streisand, Steve McQueen, Faye Dunaway, and Michael Caine.
According to Logan, Sue was a woman of "wicked wit and stevedore language" coupled with a "sense of sadness, a deep resignation: a woman whose time had passed her by."
The Grammy, Emmy, and special Tony award winner will open the first show on April 24. A location will be announced soon!
