"Bachelor" Star Gia Allemand Dead at 29
Shortly after news broke about her critical condition, we've sadly learned that former "Bachelor" star Gia Allemand is dead at the age of 29.
She was rushed to University Hospital in New Orleans Monday evening (August 12) and listed in critical condition following a serious emergency medical event that is still unknown, before the announcement released about her death.
The former reality star was placed on life support following her admission with her mother and longtime boyfriend, NBA basketball player Ryan Anderson, staying by her side the entire time.
Just before the family could make a proper statement, close friend of Gia's, Melinda Farina, took to Twitter and tweet the heartbreaking news to her followers.
"@GiaAllemand is on life support w little pulse and barely breathing ..cause unknown ..next 48 hours critical please pray for Gia everyone," she tweeted.
She continued,"I'm so sad about my best friend right now...how could this have happened to such an incredible person..she needs to come out of it!"
Miss Farina then reassured her followers that she would continue to remain in contact about Gia's condition. "Everyone I will keep you posted if I hear anything further right now it's not good-we all need to stay positive though she's tiny but strong."
Just after the announcement was made about Gia's condition, the "Bachelor" star, Sean Lowe, tweeted, "My prayers go out to @GiaAllemand's family during this time. Life on earth is but a vapor and she's with the our Lord now."
