David Hasselhoff: Drunk and Abusive?
Famous for his role as Mitch Buchannon on the worldwide hit "Baywatch," David Hasselhoff's ex-wife has made claims that - if true - could drown the former TV lifeguard.
The Hoff's ex-wife, Pamela Bach, has stepped forward with claims that her husband is an alcoholic who abused her during their marriage.
"I thought if he just wouldn't drink, everything is going to be OK," Bach told "Access Hollywood" in an interview airing May 4. "He went to three rehabs. I supported that. He wouldn't stay … those are Band-Aids on the situation."
On Tuesday May 1, Hasselhoff's ex attended a post-divorce hearing with her new layer, Debra Opri, who formerly represented Larry Birkhead.
According to The ShowBuzz reports, "When asked if she suffered any physical abuse during her husband's alleged drinking bouts, Bach said, 'Yes, and it's not something I really wanted out there … It was like Jekyll and Hyde.'"
In an attempt at a dignified response, Hasselhoff offered "Access Hollywood" a statement that read: "I have respect of my children and my fans, but most importantly, my self respect. I will continue to keep my personal life private for the sake of moving on and living a happy life with my daughters."
Hasselhoff played lifeguard Mitch Buchannon on "Baywatch" from 1989 to 2000. He also starred in the 1980s TV series "Knight Rider."
Bach, an actress herself, appeared in the soap opera "The Young and the Restless" and in numerous episodes of "Baywatch" and "Knight Rider."
