Report: Catherine Zeta-Jones Checks in to Treatment for Bipolar Disorder
Citing the need for additional help for her bipolar II disorder, Catherine Zeta Jones reportedly checked herself into a treatment center on Monday (April 29).
According to TMZ, the “Chicago” actress is expected to complete a thirty-day maintenance program, and a source told the agency she has not experienced a relapse.
In 2011, the 43-year-old mother-of-two first sought help for the mental health disorder, staying five days at a facility near New Canaan, Connecticut.
On April 22, Catherine attended the Chaplin Award Gala with her husband Michael Douglas in New York City, but did not accompany him to Saturday’s White House Correspondents’ Dinner.
