Lacing up her sneakers and getting in the swing of things for a good cause, Carrie Underwood was back in action for the 22nd annual City of Hope Celebrity Softball Challenge in Nashville, TN on Saturday (June 9).

The country superstar rocked a sporty ensemble as she made her way on the field in red tube socks, black athletic shorts and black top, while at one point tossing on a personalized jersey as she did her part in striking out cancer.

Aside from Carrie, some of country music’s biggest stars were on hand during the annual event held during the CMA Festival, including Lauren Alaina, Scotty McCreery, Vince Gill and Brantley Gilbert.

According to the organization’s website, since the event’s inception, the Celebrity Softball Challenge has raised nearly $2 million dollars benefiting City of Hope’s life-saving mission – finding cures and better treatments for cancer and a host of other devastating diseases.
