Queen Elizabeth II Goes 3D for Christmas Message
She may be an 86 year-old monarch, but Queen Elizabeth II is not falling behind in the technology department.
For this year’s annual seasonal message, the English monarch has decided to broadcast it in a 3D format instead of the traditional format.
"We wanted to do something a bit different and special in this Jubilee year, so doing it for the first time in 3D seemed a good thing, technology-wise, to do," a spokeswoman said.
Although many English viewers may be pulling out the average black rimmed glasses to check out the new feature, the Queen will be rocking her own set of specs, complete with Swarovski crystal Q’s that adorn the temples.
The always-anticipated message, which is said to include praise for the British Olpympians and Paralympians, is set to air at 3 p.m. U.K. time on Christmas Day (December 25).
