If you can’t see his handsome face, what’s the point? Fans of Bradley Cooper will no doubt still flock to see his new film “Guardians of the Galaxy,” even though they’ll only hear his voice in the animated flick.

Cooper is set to voice the character known as Rocket Raccoon. "Rocket has been genetically and mechanically altered," Marvel Studios' President Kevin Feige says. "He’s an experiment from one part of the galaxy."

The Oscar-nominated star of “Silver Linings Playbook” joins Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Lee Pace, Michael Rooker, Karen Gillan, Djimon Hounsou, Benicio del Toro, John C. Reilly, Glenn Close, Vin Diesel and Gregg Henry in the sci-fi adventure.

The movie is set to hit theaters one year from now, in August 2014.
