Bradley Cooper to Play Lance Armstrong in Biopic?
After the shocking sit-down with Oprah Winfrey, the role of Lance Armstrong seemed like a hot ticket for most Hollywood actors.
The director who landed the chance to tell the story of the controversial cyclist, J.J. Abrams, has just confirmed that a major Hollywood player is high on the list.
Speaking to BBC News earlier this week, Bradley Cooper expressed his desire, saying, "I would be interested in [playing Armstrong]. I think he's fascinating. What a fascinating character."
Well, it seems that fascination spurred the "Silver Linings Playbook" actor to make a move, as Abrams told Entertainment Tonight, "[Cooper] sent me an email and we've been talking."
The upcoming project is based off Juliet Macur's book, "Cycle of Lies: The Fall of Lance Armstrong" and will cover over a decade of the Tour de France champion's life from his career, to cancer, to doping.
