Report: Brad Pitt to Take Role of Pontius Pilate
Warner Brothers has announced plans to make a movie based on the life of Pontius Pilate, and Brad Pitt may take the lead role, according to a report from Deadline.
The 49-year-old hunk would play the first century Roman prefect who authorized the crucifixion of Jesus.
The screenplay was written by Vera Blasi, and will offer a humanized view of the controversial Biblical figure.
It will follow Pilates life up until the day he sentenced Jesus to death on the cross.
