The 43rd annual Academy of Country Music Awards nominations are in, as Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley announced the nominees during a Tuesday morning press conference at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum in Nashville.
Kenny Chesney led the way with 11 nominations, while those receiving two or more bids this year include: Paisley, Big & Rich, Emerson Drive, Rascal Flatts, LeAnn Rimes, Sugarland, Taylor Swift and Keith Urban.
It would appear that personal turmoil equals Grammy nods this year. At least that’s the case for Kanye West and Amy Winehouse. Between his mother dying and her husband being thrown in the slammer, these two were pretty desperate for some good news.
