He had a very public meltdown last fall during a gig at the iHeartRadio Music Festival in Las Vegas, and Billie Joe Armstrong opened up about his substance abuse issues in the new issue of Rolling Stone.

The “Basket Case” rocker says he’s determined to stay clean and sober these days, given that he’s struggled for 20 years with addiction.

Green Day Unveils Club Tour Dates!

They’re ready to hit the road again, and Green Day will begin playing smaller club shows before moving to larger arena gigs.

Kicking off in Pomona, California on March 10th, the “Geek Stink Breath” punk rockers will play a limited number of shows, including a stop at South By Southwest in Austin, Texas to premiere their "¡Cuatro!" documentary.

Green Day: On Hold for Billie Joe’s Health

They’ve been a fixture in the alternative music scene for two decades, but Green Day is calling a time-out on their 2012 and 2013 gigs until further notice.

According to bassist Mike Dirnt, the band is pumping the brakes in hopes that frontman Billie Joe Armstrong will get the help he so desperately needs.
