Beyonce Shows Some Love to Blind Fan in Perth
She’s always been great about connecting with her supporters, and Beyoncé Knowles gave 13-year-old fan Sophie a huge thrill during her gig in Perth, Australia on Friday (November 8).
The “Single Ladies” singer took time out of her sold-out concert to engage the teenager, inviting her to sing on “Irreplaceable.”
Knowles announced, “I have a very special young lady here. Tell everybody your name, beautiful!” The girl replied, “Sophie!”
From there Beyonce knelt down and continued, “Sophie, I think I need you to help me sing this song. Do you think you can sing 'to the left, to the left?’”
Sophie’s sister Ellie set the whole thing up through the Hope For Children charity, explaining, “She's never really been able to go to a concert due to logistical reasons so I made a video about Sophie. I think someone as amazing as Sophie deserves to meet someone as amazing as you [Beyonce].”
“She had no idea that she was going to sing with her. It was amazing. Beyonce is her favorite. When Single Ladies came on, she jumped up and was dancing and everyone was watching her dance. She's still on cloud nine today. It was so important for me because there's been a lot of things in life that Sophie hasn't been able to do, but she loves music, loves to dance and loves to sing and this was just something for me to show the world how amazing she is.”
