"Battle: Los Angeles" Wins the Weekend Box Office

Easily garnering the top spot, "Battle: Los Angeles" has emerged victorious at the box office over the weekend of March 11-13, 2011.

The Jonathan Liebesman directed Sci-Fi/Thriller flick starring Aaron Eckhart and Bridget Moynahan claimed the pole position after bringing in an estimated $36 million in earnings.

Falling to the second slot after debuting last week at number one was the Johnny Depp animated picture "Rango," which raked in $23 million for a cumulative total of $68.6 million.

Rounding out the top five were the Amanda Seyfried film "Red Riding Hood" ($14 million), followed by "The Adjustment Bureau" ($12 million) and "Mars Needs Moms" ($7 million).
