Giving a friendly smile and a wave to the pesky paparazzi, Tom Hardy worked on the set of "Animal Rescue" in New York City on Thursday (April 4).

The "Dark Knight Rises" star wore a dark hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, sneakers, and a backpack slung across his chest as he flashed his pearly whites amidst some facial scruff.

Tom Hardy: Puppy Love on the “Animal Rescue” Set

We’re used to seeing him roughing up superheroes and slugging it out in cage matches, but Tom Hardy showed off his tender side on the set of “Animal Rescue” yesterday afternoon (March 11).

The “Warrior” hunk snuggled up with a cute pooch pal to stay warm on the outdoor Manhattan set, giving the pup a few kisses as shutterbugs looked on.
