Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt's Family Members React to Double Mastectomy
After Angelina Jolie's candid revelation in the New York Times on Tuesday (May 14) that she underwent a double mastectomy, friends and family are coming out in droves to support her decision.
Speaking to Gossip Cop, the "Tomb Raider" star's father Jon Voight said his "love and admiration for her can never be measured in words" and her story "will be an inspiration to all women who are vulnerable" to breast cancer.
Though they may have had their differences, the 74-year-old actor says he spoke to his daughter this morning and she's doing "terrific."
On the other side, Brad Pitt's mom Jane praised her son's partner, saying, "We’re so very proud of Angie, this means so much to our family especially our grandchildren. We love her dearly.”
After having lost their mother to the disease, Angelina's brother James Haven gushed on Tuesday, "My sister, like our mother, always put her children first. I am so grateful to be her brother."
