Nick Cannon to Amanda Bynes: I'm Praying for You
“She's in my prayers, I'm praying for her, it's all you can do," he said Thursday (July 25).
The host of “America’s Got Talent” worked with Bynes when she was a child in the late 1990s and early 2000s on a show called “All That.”
"To see someone you'd seen at nine, running around with a snotty nose, and now to see her like that is like, 'Wow, man! That's sad'," Cannon said in another interview recently.
Cannon (also known as Mariah Carey’s husband) says he’s tried to reach out to Bynes but gotten no response. He even offered to record a rap record with her.
Bynes’ parents were due in court Friday (July 26) to ask a judge for a conservatorship (similar to what Britney Spears’ dad has) to gain control over her business and financial affairs. Bynes’ lawyer is fighting it, but Cannon says he thinks the idea is in his former co-star’s best interest “at this point.”
