Amanda Bynes Petition for Release from Psych Ward Denied
Trying her best to break free, Amanda Bynes' plea to be released from a psychiatric hold was denied on Thursday (August 1).
Though her attorney argued there was no legal basis to hold the former Nickelodeon star for two more weeks, the judge wasn't buying it.
Doctors asked that her hold be extended for two weeks after she spent her first three days in the psych ward so that they could properly diagnose her.
According to TMZ, the 27-year-old actress is doing a lot better on her currently prescribed medication. The fear is that because she does not acknowledge her mental illness, Amanda will cease taking her medication if she is released.
