California's Alyssa Campanella Wins Miss USA Title
Last night (June 19) was a big one for Alyssa Campanella, as she was crowned the new Miss USA in Las Vegas.
The 21-year-old Miss California hottie was thrilled to have beaten out her fellow beauty queens at the Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino and will compete in the Miss Universe pageant in Brazil.
During the course of her competition, Alyssa was asked how she feels about the legalization of marijuana.
She replied, “I’m not sure if it should be legalized… I mean, it’s abused today, unfortunately, so that’s the only reason why I would kind of be a little bit against it, but medically it’s OK.”
Coming in second was Miss Tennessee Ashley Durham, while Miss Alabama Madeline Mitchell nabbed the #3 spot.
