Alexander Skarsgard's Vancouver Movie Night

Looking like he could really use a sandwich, Alexander Skarsgard went to take in a movie in Vancouver Saturday (August 4).

Wearing a black t-shirt, blue jeans, a baseball cap, fans still recognized the "True Blood" star as he headed to see the movie "Total Recall" and he happily signed autographs.

The 35-year-old Swedish actor lost the weight for his upcoming role in the movie "Hidden," about a family who takes refuge in a fallout shelter to avoid a dangerous outbreak.

However, fans can see Alexander in much lighter fare as he continues talks to reprise his "Zoolander" role. Skarsgard played Meekus, one of Derek Zoolander's male model roommates. Poor Meekus met his fate in the first Zoolander film when a playful gasoline fight went horribly wrong.

The chiseled Swede told Britain's GQ, "I'm pitching it right now. I wouldn't want to miss that. Well, I'm hoping they would do something like the scene with Hamlet's father, and that Meekus will come back as a ghost — I mean, he's definitely dead."

Though a script has been written, Paramount has yet to give the green light for Ben Stiller's "Zoolander 2."
