Stepping out for some retail therapy, Alessandra Ambrosio showed up in Santa Monica, California yesterday afternoon (October 3).

Joined by her adorable daughter Anja, the Brazilian supermodel looked uber-chic in a printed blue dress teamed with an ostrich handbag and beige flats.

Earlier this week, Alessandra shared on her Twitter page regarding the grueling preparation for the upcoming 2012 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show.

Ambrosio tweeted, “Went to work for Victoria's Secret today and OF COURSE Russell James had me working out getting ready for the #vsfashionshow”
